I'm not sure what to say about me. My name's Jess and I can't believe I'm actually going to swim to Bestival. It was my friend's idea...we were sat on a very hot and sweaty bus on the way back from Glastonbury and feeling the post festival blues set in. We talked about it and then decided we had to do it. Now we're doing it and I've roped in my friends Annie. Hope we make it....it's going to be an awesome pub story.
Hi, my name is Simon, I'm 18 and am just about to finish my A Levels. I love fishing, festivals.. being outdoors in general. I'm raising money for the Magic Bus, which is India's biggest childrens' livelihood charity, supporting over 200,000 kids across India. I'm volunteering with them for three months this October and cannot wait, please donate to this fantastic cause. X

What is going on??? I am a Bestival virgin, who said it needs to be special? The last time I swam was in year 4, when I collected my 50 metre certificate – so you could say that I’m over qualified. But seriously, I’m 19 from South East London and my chosen charity is Macmillan cancer. I couldn’t thank Macmillan enough for their continuous support throughout our struggle. I’d like to dedicate this challenge to my late Nan, Grandad, Uncle and Great Uncle x Anyway… In the words of Big Narstie... “MANS A FISH CUZ”.
Sara likes to swim and has always wanted to swim TO somewhere so where better than Bestival? As an OYT volunteer and member of the Bootstrap team Sara is pretty darned excited to be raising money for her two favourite charities by doing her favourite thing :)

"Hi my Water name is Pebble and I didn't realise why until I signed up for this years BIGGEST of BIG DAYS, S2B 2016. If you throw me fast enough at the water at an oblique angle, I skim and glide across the surface.... then I sink. This has proved to be a bit of a problem so I'm busy training on a diet of marshmallows and turnips in a hope it will buoyant me up and parp propel me across the Solent. The reason I'm willing to risk life and limb is to raise money for the Motor Neuron Disease Association and to have a bloody good time."
"Hi my name is Lee Jones. I'm scared of the sea and everything in it! I would prefer to swim with my eyes shut but have been told that would be a bad idea. I'll be raising as much money as I can for Ocean Youth Trust South and Marie Curie. This is the 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY of Swim2bestival and I'm privileged to be part of the swim. Can't wait to swim into the 'FUTURE' Its gonna be one hell of a party. "
"Hi my name is Marijn Rubens and i can't wait to Swim To Bestival! It looks like one of the Best Festivals out there and is a great one to be able to go to! I'm swimming with two friends Lewis and James and can't wait to smash Bestival with them! About me I pride myself on being one of the weirdest and yet most joyful people you will meet (at least i try). I'm currently studying in my first year at the University Of Leeds, I have a deeply unhealthy obsession with Game of Thrones that means i spend many hours a day finding distractions from my work. I have no regrets with this. Also a Big fan of Major Lazer so can't wait for that to be on! I also can't wait to check out some of the amazingly bizarre festivities going on! Not the biggest fan of camping must be said The Charity im giving to is called United Through Sport, because last year i spent 10 weeks in Ghana with them volunteering, and some of the kids the money will go to deserve it so much!"

"Hi I'm Jim! I've been helping out as a canoer for 6 years now and it's really nice to have the chance to finally do the swim myself and support some great charities! I've decided I want to be the first person to fly to Bestival! Not in the conventional way but I'm going to attempt to do butterfly all the way across! Wish me luck! I ain't even done more than 25m in the last 20 years! Big up to Bestival! See you all there! XxX"

My name is Milo and i am a dream chaser! This year I am swimming to Bestival to push myself out of my comfrt zone and send a singal to everybody to say that NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE and that YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE! Make the most out of your time here and be rememebered of doing exceptional things! Create life memories! This year i am swimming with a very special friend of mine in my heart - Anna - who passed away far to early! She had the most beautiful smile in the world and my aim is to take that sime to the Isle of wight this year! LLL for Live Life Loud!
"Hey, I'm Annie and I'm scared. I was initially coerced into this by my mates, but who doesn't love a challenge right? Especially a challenge with Bestival at the end of it. Result. Can't say I've done much in the way of swimming over the past 15 years, but I have now had a week of panic and testing my swimming ability reckon I will make it (as long as the pirahnas/ sharks/ jellyfish don't get me). Lets keep everything crossed though just in case. So excited for this now, I have high hopes that swimming to the Isle of Wight will somehow be life changing. If not at least it will be a laugh, a great story to tell and most importantly a great way to raise lots of money for charity. See you on the beach everyone :D"
Hi, I'm Sophie. I'm super-excited to be joining the awesome Swim2Bestival team! I love swimming and I love festivals so this amazing experience of swimming across the Solent to Bestival will combine two of my favourite things! I'm really pleased to be taking on this fantastic challenge to raise money for two very special charities - WaterAid and Ocean Youth Trust South. I've always been a keen swimmer in indoor pools but have only recently started open water swimming, so Swim2Bestival will be a tough challenge for me, and a great achievement when I reach Colwell Bay!
I’m nearly 40 years old and a proud father of two great kids. I’m motivated by my family and travel, and together we love to stay active and explore the great outdoors.
Through my work at STA Travel and our partnership with Bestival, I became aware of the Swim2Bestival challenge. Having run two marathons for charity in the past, it seemed like a great chance to challenge myself again and raise some money for a fantastic cause.
STA Travel has recently partnered with the UK charity Teenage Cancer Trust, and brought together similar focused charities around the globe. As a team we are raising awareness and much needed funds to help support young people with cancer.
I’m personally throwing my support by this partnership by swimming to the Isle of White on 8 September. It’s going to be a tough (and cold) challenge – but it’s all for a fantastic cause! Thanks for the support.
I didn't actually want to do this but my friend made me!!! Lorraine Bow is embracing my mid life crisis a little to well for my liking and has decided that getting fat for my up and coming 40th birthday wasn't an option and so is trying to kill me instead by nominating me for this ............ Great!!!
Hello I'm Doddy! I'm going to be a 2016 Swim2Bestival swimmer and I can't ruddy wait! 2006, a dream in a van with proper crackers friends and a plan 'Lets swim to Bestival!' In 2007 I climbed into the beautiful Solent with some of my best friends and swam my way to Bestival! Amazing! 10 whole years on and I am swimming again to celebrate the Swim2Bestival's 10th anniversary! Unbelievable! I will be raising as much as possible for National Multiple Sclerosis Society as well as the worthy Swim2Bestival charities. Lets do this. Lets swim to Bestival!
